Following a restful night aboard, we landed ashore, greeted by a day ripe for exploration. Amidst a scattering of boats within and beyond the reef, anticipation lingered for potential leopard iguana sightings—alas, only a formidable land crab crossed our path, brandishing its sizable claw.
Setting sail southward, we threaded between islands and reef, revisiting Union Island before veering eastward toward Petit Martinique. Navigating Martinique Channel’s reef opening, we dropped anchor for lunch. Later, we sailed to Chatham Bay on Union’s southwestern side, securing anchor for the night.
In these waters, challenges abound, marked by shifting currents and intricate passages, demanding meticulous navigation skills to navigate safely.
